Rashida Jones says she was a little apprehensive about filming her first girl-on-girl make out scene for the upcoming comedy, Our Idiot Brother. Not because she’d be sailing the same-sex seas on-screen, but because she’d be filming them with fellow actress and long-time friend Zooey Deschanel.

Fortunately, Rashida had an experienced confidant she could turn to for advice. The Parks and Recreation star called up good friend Natalie Portman, whose steamy love scene with Mila Kunis in Black Swan raised the temperature of theaters across the world during its run.

At a junket for Our Idiot Brother, Rashida told Access Hollywood, “I’m friends with Natalie and I asked her [what to expect.] She was like, ‘Dude, it’s awkward to make out with your friends – I’m just warning you right now. It’s super awkward!"

However, once Rashida found herself lip-locking with Zooey she said she found the experience was far more pleasant than she had imagined.

“It was totally fun,” Rashida told Access. “I mean, it was slightly awkward, only because Zooey and I have known each other for a long time. It’s kind of weird to kiss your friends."

“But, you know, she’s so pretty – she doesn’t make it that hard.” she added.
