Downton Abbey could really only be better if it were shot with cats.

We’re filing this under, “This Needs to Be a Thing” – Downton Abbey with cats! Pets Alive, a no-kill shelter in Middletown, New York has reimagined the Downton Abbey intro with cats and called it – what else? – “Downton Tabby.” Stop. It’s too ridiculously cute already. But that’s not all. The cats who performed in the promo are all adoptable, according to Jezebel.  So if you rush down to the shelter in Middletown you could very well find your own feline Countess of Grantham.

Frankly, if Downton with cats ever does actually become a thing I fully intend to audition my recent adoptee Jolene – a four-year-old tortie with stunning green eyes—to be the kitty version of Lady Mary.
