Amandla Stenberg, the actress who played Rue in the first installment of The Hunger Games film series and who has now made a name for herself as being a politically conscious SJW superstar, just came out as bisexual.

To help promote her recent cover of the February issue of Teen Vogue, Amandla (who you'll recall accompanied gender-bending style icon Jaden Smith to the prom) took over the fashion magazine's Snapchat account yesterday, and in a series of amazing Snaps before she signed off last night, she identified herself to the world as a black, bisexual woman.

“It’s a really really hard thing to be silenced and it’s deeply bruising to fight against your identity and to mold yourself into shapes that you just shouldn’t be in,” Queen Amandla said. "As someone who identifies as a black, bisexual woman I’ve been through it, and it hurts, and it’s awkward and it’s uncomfortable…but then I realized because of Solange and Ava DuVernay and Willow and all the black girls watching this right now, that there’s absolutely nothing to change.”

Naturally, the world freaked out over this awesome revelation.

Amandla is seriously the best, and we're happy that she came out to the world on her terms and in the way she wanted! Welcome to the fam, sis!!
