The Voice crowned a season three winner Tuesday, and, for those who’ve been following NBC’s sing down competition show there was little surprise over the winner, who’d been charting on iTunes for weeks. But in case you haven’t watched the winner is…
Cassadee Pope! The Avril Lavigne-esque rocker on Coach Blake Shelton’s team who can also churn out a country song –which doesn’t hurt if you’re trying to win a singing competition. Congrats to Cassadee, the first female winner of The Voice.
Cassadee brought back a few of the female contestants from earlier in the season to add a little girl power to Imagine Dragons’ “It’s Time,” including the season’s only out performer, the charismatic, De’Borah Garner.
For the number, De’Borah sported her signature thick-framed glasses, but added a bit of flair with an impeccable white suit. Also singing with Cassadee and De’Borah were country singer Liz Davis and quirky darling Melanie Martinez.
