Who doesn’t adore Julianne Moore? The Oscar nominee and Emmy and Golden Globe winner for her uncanny portrayal of Sarah Palin in Game Change has played gay about a million times. Well, maybe only three, but she’s famously played queer in The Kids are All Right, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee andThe Hours (and I’m sure I’m forgetting one). This month Moore, 52, takes on the role of Carrie White’s abusive evangelical, telekinetic mother in Kimberly Peirce’s remake ofCarrie and Thursday she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

With no Oscar win under her belt for the star of modern classics including Boogie Nights, Magnolia andFar From Heaven, Julianne’s star is one of the most well-deserved out there!

Here she is looking luminous at the ceremony.
