Happy birthday, Taylor Schilling!  Even though she was long on the scene before Orange is the New Black, it's safe to say that's why she currently has such a special place in our hearts. Piper Chapman has been the source of a lot of our anguish as OITNB viewers, but she's also the source of so much joy, terrible panty-related plotlines, and amazing Vauseman makeout sessions. Piper might make some world-class bad choices, but she also makes plenty of pretty damn good ones, and there's no one we'd rather have bringing her to life than Taylor Schilling. Here are 10 times we fully supported what Piper and Taylor brought into our lives. 

10. Without Piper (the character and the real woman, let's not forget), there would literally be no Orange Is the New Black, and that would be unacceptable.

9. Piper is one half of "Vauseman," the couple that definitely raised the bar on hot TV hookups by a longshot.
