Riot grrrl hero J.D. Samson - a musician, presenter and journo best-known for her roles in bands Le Tigre and MEN - tries to figure out where the hell America's girl-on-girl hangouts are disappearing to and why. On behalf of Vice's new "sister publication" Broadly, she asks why there aren't many places to go these days if you don't want some dude harassing you. Lesbian bars across the US are falling into financial decline and eventually vanishing all over the shop. Why? Why is this happening? Where can we go to get acceptance as well as a cocktail now? What can we do to help sort this out?
