Director Mary Dore specifically explores the period between 1966 to 1971 of the women's movement, offering an intimate and dramatic look into controversies produced over female leadership, race, and sexual identity.

From the hat and glove wearing founders of NOW to the hat and glove wearing women of street theatrics of WITCH (Women's International Conspiracy from Hell), this film is full of dramatic flare.

With an aim to not only capture the spirit of the time which was often electrifying and humorous, Dore also examines the history of what was often an invigorating, challenging, and touching journey to glory.
