No words necessary to convey this kind of epic passion...

By now, you’ve heard that Carol, the big-screen adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s groundbreaking lesbian novel The Price of Salt, is poised to earn a whole lot of awards nominations (if not wins) this season.

The film, starring Cate Blanchett as a suburban socialite and Rooney Mara as the shop girl she falls for, was released in New York and Los Angeles last Friday and is set to go wide around Christmas. That is a long time to wait for those of you who aren’t in one of the big cities, so we here at SheWired are dedicated to bringing you as much Carol as we can until everyone has seen it.

Today, the Weinstein Company released this breathtaking, wordless trailer. That’s all we’ll say. We’ll let the trailer speak for itself.
