The New Wonder Woman Trailer Completely Smashes the Superhero Patriarchy
This isn't just girl power—this is good ol' fashioned power!
Batman. Superman. Spider-Man. Deadpool. Wolverine. Captain America. Iron Man. Hulk.
It's a freakin' sausage fest up in here!
Finally, DC is giving us what we've been asking for all along—a female-driven superhero movie. And it's not a C-level hero, either. It's the mother of all female superheroes: Wonder Woman herself!
First introduced in this year's tepidly received Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gal Gadot is back as the Amazonian warrior princess.
The movie features even more bad-ass female characters, with Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright joining the Amazonian ranks. And the film is helmed by female director Patty Jenkins. Oh yeah, and Chris Pine's in it.
