Brooklyn-based band, Tomboy, debuted their music video for their single Moths, and the eerie nature of the song combined with the striking black and white visuals, certainly leaves a chilling impression.
Out lead singer Sarah Aument and band partner William Shore joined forces in 2013 and have since created a lush collection of electro-pop music.
In their video Tomboy navigates the nature of anxiety and not feeling "a part of." According to an interview with Interview Magazine which premiered the music video, Aument said, "looking retrospectively, I realized that a lot of my anxiety was based around 'otherness,' kind of like being a moth that didn't want to crowd a light."
Through tense body gestures, uncomfortable close-ups, and light evading both Aument and Shore all through out the song, Moths certainly captures the essence of discomfort with a touch of pulsating pop.
