Who had a crush on her back in the day?

Oscar-winning child star Tatum O’Neal, 51, candidly told People that lately she has primarily dated women.

"I definitely have been dating mostly women recently." O’Neal told People.

But the star of classics including Paper Moon and The Bad News Bears, who was famously married to tennis bad boy John McEnroe, stopped short of calling herself bisexual.  "I'm not one or the other,” she said.

"I think women are the most amazing creatures on earth," O’Neal explained. "They're gentle, and also more intelligent than the men that I've met recently. I don't have a steady right now, but I look forward to it."

O’Neal and McEnroe were married from 1986 to 1992, and have three children together – Kevin, 29, Sean, 28, and Emily, 24.

O’Neal amassed plenty of budding queer girl fans in the ‘70s and ‘80s playing the tomboy homerun hitter in The Bad News Bears and the prissy Ferris in the summer camp classic, Little Darlings, which pitted her character against Kristy McNichol’s in a race to lose their virginity. Incidentally, McNichol came out as a lesbian in 2012.
