You Absolutely Must Read Hillary Clinton's Humans of New York Profile

The popular Facebook page's intimate, unique, and moving profile on Hillary Clinton is going viral.

Even if you haven't heard of Humans of New York, you've likely seen and been moved by one or more of its stories on your Facebook feed. Photographer Brandon Stanton started the project in 2010, in which he took a personal, often surprisingly emotional photo of random people in New York and included a story about them. Some are small moments, like a child's outfit or a funny story. Others are compelling multi-picture arcs that let you into the lives of people on the street you'd pass by but never otherwise stop to get to know. Brandon has profiled President Obama, followed intense stories of war and disease, broken our hearts, and made our days. Today, he surprised us with yet another emotional, stirring profile - this time of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

The two posts - entirely quotes from Hillary, followed by an image - speak for themselves, and they're truly some of the most moving declarations we've heard from her. Here, Hillary recounts her challenges as a young lawyer and what it's been like behind-the-scenes trying to rise to political power as a woman. She speaks candidly about how the public perceives her, how she works and struggles with her image, and why she doesn't always come off to the public the way those close to her see her. The comments section on this particularly controversial piece is also electric, with users pondering how they might have come to see her in a too-negative light, taking a moment to digest her personal history separate from the political figure they've seen on TV, and, best of all, insisting that the comments stay as they usually are on any HONY post: positive, accepting, and understanding. See Hillary's profiles below:

Thank you, Humans of New York, for posting such an honest and important profile at such a turbulent political time. We loved reading these thought-provoking words from Hillary, and we hope they're read and respected by users across the world.
