Director Bryan Singer tweeted a sneak peek of Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence wearing blue body paint — and not much else — as she reprises her role as shape-shifting superhero Mystique in the latest X-Men film, Days of Future Past. Lawrence reportedly endured eight hours of makeup to get into character, undergoing a process where her body was shaved, she was covered in blue body paint, then had individual silicone scales placed on her body. Talk about dedication. 

The 23-year-old actress first portrayed Mystique in 2011's X-Men: First Class, after model Rebecca Rojmin originated the role in earlier X-Men movies. 

Lawrence, ever sardonic, has said the role requires her to be on a brutally strict diet to attain Mystique's toned physique.

"It was awful," Lawrence told UK paper The Telegraph at the time. "I was hungry for five months."

Well, that might explain the look on her face.
