Casting Alert! Elisha Cuthbert to Play Lesbian Lead in Ellen's Next Show
NBC and Ellen DeGeneres gives us something to look forward to with One Big Happy.
If you are a fan of both ABC's Happy Endings and lesbian characters on TV (the more the merrier), then this is a great day to be you! Very recent casting news has revealed that Elisha Cuthbert (Happy Endings, 24 — you definitely recognize her from something) will be starring on NBC's new multi-camera sitcom One Big Happy.
Produced by Ellen DeGeneres, One Big Happy follows two best friends and room mates, lesbian Lizzy (Elisha) and straight man Luke (Nick Zano, a guest star on Happy Endings), who decide to have a baby together via artificial insemination. Just as Lizzy gets pregnant, however, Luke quickly meets and marries the love of his life. Out writer Liz Feldman, who used to write for the Ellen DeGeneres Show, is attached to the sitcom, so it looks like One Big Happy might be in some very good hands.
