18 Times Pretty Little Liars' Emily and Paige Proved They're the Perfect Couple

Because we miss them...

Since Pretty Little Liars' first season little liar Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Paige (Lindsey Shaw) have endured rocky starts, coming outs, kidnappings, costume-themed dances, blackmail, college applications, a train riddled with killers, and Alison. Rosewood's premiere lady couple have loved each other so well that it seemed they could weather anything, but as of the season 5 winter premiere this week, Emily and Paige are in trouble since Paige seems no longer able to put up with the hellfire that Rosewood often is.

Who knows what the future holds for the adorable couple whose on-screen relationship has inspired so many young lesbian and bisexual women (at least that's what we've culled from #Paily love pouring out in our Twitter feed). Frankly, we hope that Paige surprises Emily for prom, but anything can happen on PLL.

Here we take a moment to recall just a fraction of those times when Emily and Paige were just the perfect couple.

1. The time they fanstasized about leaving Rosewood and shacking up in San Francisco. Interior decorating was discussed.

2. The time in the Christmas episode when they were more interested in each other than in Christmas carols.

3. When Emily looked like Paige like this, and it made us all swoon.

4. Or when things were tough and Emily made this adorable worried face where she gets that cute dimple over her eye. But then they got through it.

5. There was this time when they kissed in the window in the noir episode, and it was nothing short of breathtaking.

6. Or this time -- when Paige encouraged Emily to get her P!nk on and sing "So What" at karaoke.

7. And it led to them kissing in the parking lot to P!nk's "Glitter in the Air," and we wished we were in high school all over again.

8. There was this time when they kissed like nobody was watching, but of course, A probably was.

9. How about this time on Halloween when they dressed like Barbarella and Marlene Dietrich (in Morocco) and hooked up on the train North by Northwest style?

10. There was the time that Paige looked so adorable in this suit that it stopped Emily in her tracks, even though Em was back with Maya at the time.

11. There was this time when Emily helped a questioning Paige deal with coming out (in the best way possible we might add).

12. How about the time they went all Even Cowgirls Get the Blues on us and made our hearts melt with this dance?

13. Or when they looked like THIS and danced in the Christmas episode.

14. Remember when Paige looked at Emily like this, and we completely understood because Emily probably makes everyone look that way all of the time?

15. There was this time early on when they seemed so in love in this scene that was a total nod to Heavenly Creatures.

Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey in Heavenly Creatures

16. There was this time... Okay, we know this is actually Shay and Lindsey just being adorable on set, but we're using it as further proof that they make Paily perfect.

So much #Love for this Pretty Lady @shaym ;)

17. There was this time when their synchronized swimming was a metaphor for all of their sexual energy.

18. Because this, our favorite moment, happened right before the big swim.
