Raven-Symoné Lands Full-Time Gig on The View

We can't wait to hear what she has to say once she's in that seat permanently.

Often controversial guest host Raven-Symoné has secured a full-time gig on the The View, it was announced on Wednesday’s show.

The former The Cosby Show and That’s So Raven star will replace Rosie O’Donnell, who left abruptly in January, citing the need to deal with personal problems (namely a split from her wife).

Raven, who is in a relationship with Empire’s AzMarie Livingston but eschews labels, has already caused several minor uproars as a guest host with some of her more ‘outspoken’ and controversial ideas.

“She is happy, amusing and well informed, and has already brought a unique perspective to the program that has resonated with our audience,” Executive Producer Barbara Walters said, according to The Wrap.

Raven joins cohosts Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace, Rosie Perez, but The View still has one full-time seat left to fill.

On landing her full-time position Raven said, “I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host.”
