A shriek echoed across the world today when Orphan Black fans got wind of the news that Tatiana Maslany had finally snagged an Emmy nomination from her performance(s) in our favorite clone-tastic BBC show. It's taken the Emmys three years now to finally acknowledge her flat-out magical work on Orphan Black, but hey, better late than never. This year, Tatiana will be going up against Robin Wright (House of Cards), Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder), and Claire Danes (Homeland) for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. No matter what happens, we're thrilled this year to be writing a celebratory post instead of our usual, fury-filled rant against another Tatiana-less Emmy year. Here are 12 reasons we know the Emmys made the right choice and should end up securing her a win. Perhaps another clone dance party is in order?
