These past few years have seen the rise of the "daddy" in the gay community. More and more younger gay men are using the word, and having crushes/relationships/sexual encounters with older gay men. Daddies even have some mainstream appeal, now, with teenage girls on Twitter tweeting about their love of "daddies." (Frankly, I’m not sure how much I like that...) There’s even a new, popular zine out called Daddy Issues. The queer mag not only has images of beefy, hairy men, but speaks to how daddies are becoming an integral and mainstream component within queer communities.
