For many of us, some of our earliest crushes were on Disney characters. Afterall who doesn't want to find that fairytale kind of love, or at least true love's kiss? They were on the big screen, the small screen, in our Happy Meals, coloring books, and toy bins. Plus, they were so damn cute! Here are some of our favorite Disney crushes.
Mulan’s hottie Li Shang is our number one both for stunning looks (I mean, have you seen those cheekbones? That jawline? Swoon) but also because he was our first-ever bisexual king. Listen, we get it, he’s not “officially” queer but we all know the truth. He was catching major feelings for Ping (aka Mulan) and that was a major gay awakening moment. We would happily let him "make a man" out of us.
What can we say, we crave a bad boy with the chest of a bear. Is he a narcissist with terribly regressive gender politics? Yes. Does he brag about his ability to spit (expectorate)? Also, yes. But do we still want to be his power bottom ala LaFeo-? Oh, very much yes.
This sweetie pie from Lilo & Stitch stole our hearts with his boy-next-door good looks and major surfing skills. Plus, he has a dreamy surfer boy haircut and fills out his Hawaiian shirts just the way we love — how could we not crush hard?
Sure Hans is more traditionally good-looking (you know his IG would be lit) but the prince who stole our heart in Frozen was oh-so-sweet (and musclebound) Kristoff. It doesn't hurt that we also get the pleasure of hearing Jonathan Groff’s dulcet tones every time he sings or speaks. We would love to, ahem, let it go with Kristoff any day of the week.
Maui is built like a god, because, well, he is one. Plus those tattoos and flowing curly hair. We want to throw ourselves into that volcano. And yes, that is a euphemism for you know what.
Ok, yes, he’s a fox — but he’s so damn foxy! With his pointy hat, smooth moves and adorable grin, how could you not fall in love with this charming outlaw?
Jet black hair and dreamy blue eyes — what’s not to love! No wonder Ariel gave up her fins for this fine fella. We definitely wanted Eric to make us part of his world.
Sexy street rat, for sure! He was practically shirtless the entire movie; that and his million dollar smile, athletic ability and, oh, did we mention his singing voice? We’ve never had a (boy)friend like him.
A lion, yes. But adorable? Also yes! Plus, he was voiced by our own real-life crushes Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Matthew Broderick, so it makes sense that Simba had us all googly-eyed.
Zero to hero to hunk! Hercules is, literally, a god. No other Disney character can compete with those pecs. And the boy has a jawline for days.
Aladdin may have been running around in a vest, but Tarzan one-upped him and kept it to the lone loincloth! Tight muscles, wild hair, no clothes — Jane, you lucky bitch!
Milo is one of the most underrated Disney cuties. He’s totally nerdy hot. He’s smart, sensitive and has adorably oversized glasses — what’s not to love?
We don’t know where Maldonia is, but wherever it is, we want to go to there! Prince Naveen slayed us with his smile — we’d kiss a lot of frogs to find this kind of cute!
Oh, the smolder! Flynn’s got the sexy smolder on lock. His carefree attitude, roguish facial hair and expressive eyes are deserving of more than just a frying pan to the face.
Tadashi joins Milo as the brains of this bunch. Genius inventor and amazing older brother, Tadashi was taken from us too soon. Let’s get a Big Hero 6 prequel story just focused on him, yeah?
Sure, he was a “hideous” beast for most of the movie, but Prince Adam was one damn fine human underneath! Come on, be honest — you totally crushed hard after that transformation scene at the end, right?
Kronk may be a mindless meat head stereotype, but if the Emperor’s New Groove taught us anything, it’s that people can surprise us. Kronk’s unquestioned (for the most part) loyalty to Izma, his uncanny connection to cute woodland animals (oh, and his bulging muscles and fantastic cooking abilities), makes him a shoo-in for our Disney crush list.
