How to Cuddle, Even When It’s So Damn Hot Out

Summer is officially upon us, and while the season is filled with sun, Speedos, beach, and all sorts of other fun, there is one universally loathed dilemma that plagues all men and women across the country: cuddling.

How do you cuddle when it's hot, humid, and both you and your partner are drenched in sweat? Well, you’re going to have to be creative. But here are six ways to cuddle when it’s so damn hot outside.

1. Hold hands 

Holding hands while lying in bed with your partner is surprisingly intimate. And when you get to feel your partner squeeze involuntarily while he’s in deep REM sleep, it’s really nice! Also, you can be like the adorable otters who hold hands while they’re sleeping.

2. The interlocked pinky hold 

How hot are we talking? If we’re talking that Georgia humidity or valley-high 100 degree+ heat, even holding hands may be too much. This is why the pinky hold exists. Yep, it’s exactly as it sounds: interlock your pinky with your partner while you both are snoozing away.

3. The footsie touch

Ah, the footsie touch. A classic flirtatious move that can be repurposed during the summer to help both you and your lover beat the heat.

4. The butt grab

If one of you sleeps on your back and the other one sleeps on their stomach, this is the perfect faux-cuddle position for you. Grab their tush.

5. The junk grab

Of course, this is very much dependent on the relationship you have with your partner. While you can do the front grab, you need to be cautious. This may often lead to arousal, which will lead to sexy time, which creates even MORE heat (which is the last thing you want).

6. Get over it and cuddle
