Sydney, Australia, turned an actual, whole bridge gay to ring in the New Year.

In celebration of the city’s 40th annual Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras and the country’s historic same-sex marriage ruling, the Australian capital city’s fireworks display included rainbow pyrotechnics and a rainbow waterfall spouting from the Sydney Harbor Bridge.


The show was part of the city’s larger New Year’s Eve celebration, in which one billion people watched 28,000 fireworks erupt from 175 points along the bridge, according to ABC News. Watch below.
