Shot of the Day: Half Way to L.A!

Shot of the Day: Half Way to L.A!

This week, the editors of SheWired are riding from San Francisco to Los Angeles on bicycles, after having spent most of the past year fundraising for California-based HIV/AIDS organizations and raising HIV awareness. See photos of the girls reaching the ride's half way mark earlier today.

There is a moment in just about every workday when we come across something sexy, gratuitous and completely pointless that we wish we could post but don't under the auspices of there being nothing lesbian about it and often there being no redeeming value. Well, we at SheWired have made an executive decision to just throw any of our pseudo-feminist caution to the wind and to just post our favorite shot of the day, whether it be sexy, salacious, or just because...

This week, over 2200 people from all over the world joined together for the AIDS/Lifecycle. Riding from San Francisco to Los Angeles on bicycles, each person spent most of the past year fundraising for California-based HIV/AIDS organizations and raising HIV awareness. The 2011 event raised over $13 million and they expect to surpass that at the end of this year's.

Among those thousands making the 545-mile trek are SheWired's editor-in-chief Tracy Gilchrist and associate editor Boo Jarchow, who earlier today reached the half way mark a top one of the "evil twins," two sister hills near Paso Robles, Calif. (Once you arrive at the mark, it's generally tradition to have your photo taken holding your bike above your head.)

A more in-depth report from the ladies of SheWired will be up next week when they return, but until then check out today's shots of the day below.
