Bringing the girlfriend home for the holidays is a perennial problem for those who aren’t quite out to their family, but now, the LA based sketch comedy group Family Sandwich has put together at least one scenario that could unfold if you decide to come out at the holiday table.

But there is also Portandia: The Tour, an evening of live music and sketches, with lesbian musician Mirah and her current music project collaborator Thao Nguyen opening the show.

Lets face it - for a long time the fate of sketch comedy wasn’t looking good. Lost Moon champions something called “Event-Style Theater.” The fact that Lost Moon is headed by an entirely female production team and is, well, completely full of gays (both male and female) is just gravy. Recently, I was able to sit down with one of the stars of the show, an awesome and out lesbian comedian named Lauren Flans, to learn a little bit more about her and the show.
