Jane Lynch summarized the theme of the annual awards dinner of Family Equality Council when she stated that we are all in this fight together. At the event, held last Saturday at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, Lynch presented an award to the plaintiffs in the Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial challenging Proposition 8. The recipients echoed Lynch’s remarks that marriage equality rights are intimately tied to the rights of LGBT families.

Former senator Rick Santorum announced Thursday that he will begin raising funds for his presidential bid using the campaign slogan “Fighting to Make America America again” — a line echoing a pro-union, pro-immigrant poem written by gay poet Langston Hughes. Best known for his work during the Harlem Renaissance, Hughes used similar wording in his poem “Let America Be America Again.”

From the moment I entered the lobby of the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas this past Thursday night, I knew this wouldn’t be any ordinary concert experience. Here were thousands of people of every gender decked out in blonde wigs and high heels with lightening bolts scrawled across their faces and the same person on their t-shirts: Lady Gaga. When the moment finally came and Lady Gaga’s silhouette appeared to echoes of “I’m a free bitch,” it was obvious everyone’s vocal chords would be shot by the end of the show from screaming. Even the slightest movement of Gaga’s hips during the opener “Dance in the Dark” elicited shrieks from the devoted crowd.

After finding success in Europe, the rock group K's Choice, founded by Belgian siblings Sarah and Gert Bettens, began catching fire in the U.S. in the mid-'90s. Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku said earlier this year there would'definitely' be some gay and lesbian subtext on the second season of the show, which launched on Friday. From a brief scene in the premiere episode, it looks like the show is about to live up to Dushku's promise. While lesbian fans are pining for Summer Glau to appear, Dushku nearly indulged in a girl-on-girl kiss with Amy Acker's hot doc.
