Secrets of a Restaurant Chef star Anne Burrell has confirmed she’s a lesbian after Food Network coworker Ted Allen mentioned Burrell’s girlfriend in an interview a few weeks ago on Romaine Patterson’s Sirius XM show, according to the New York Post.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) will host a cook-off on Sunday with special guests and openly gay chefs Jamie Lauren and Richard Sweeney from Bravo Television’s Top Chef participating in a cooking challenge. Also hosting is gay celebrity Chef Paul McCullough, and judges are  Robert Gant (Queer As Folk, Save Me), Elizabeth Keener (The L Word) and Wilson Cruz (He’s Just Not That Into You, My So-Called Life), with special guests Thea Gill (Queer As Folk, Dante’s Cove), Carolyn Hennesy (General Hospital), Jai Rodriguez (Queer Eye For The Straight Guy), Doug Spearman  (Noah’s Arc) and Trevor Wright (Shelter).

ABC has purchased a new comedy from producer Michael Eisner about the early days of celebrity chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken. The show will take chronicle the early days of their friendship and unique business partnership during the 1980’s.

Out celebrity chef Cat Cora plead no contest at the sentencing for the DUI citation she received on June 17 in Santa Barbara, CA. Cora will not face jail time as long as she completes all of the other court requirements, including DUI classes, probation and paying a fine.
