First undercuts were in. Then top knots. Suddenly, man buns (or muns) are having their heyday. The unfortunate thing with these haircuts is that it takes time to grow them out, and by the time you do, they’re already so yesterday.

Luckily, we know what the next big thing in men’s hair is going to be: short-short. Some sticklers might call it a buzzcut. Others, a crew cut. But a perfect short-short haircut is in the middle ground between the two.

Why?

1. Short-short hair focuses on the face. With little hair, you can actually see how beautiful a man’s facial features are. quite short hair pic
2. It’s easy to maintain. Long hair is simply exhausting. We all do it at some point, and it’s a ton of fun. But once you go short, and find yourself saving an extra 10 minutes every morning, you won’t want to go back. jake gyllenhaal hair pic
3. It’s stupidly sexy. Channing Tatum hair pic
