The pop legend's attempt to get an autograph from Victor Wembanyama went terribly wrong.

Pop icon Britney Spears was allegedly slapped in the face by an NBA player's security detail on Wednesday night.

San Antonio Spur’s player Victor Wembanyama’s security allegedly assaulted the “Toxic” singer while at Catch restaurant in the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas at 8:30 p.m. ET, according to TMZ.

Spears was there to have dinner with her husband Sam Asghari and two other people, but when she arrived she spotted Wembanyama. The publication reports that she tapped the basketball star on the shoulder to ask him for an autograph because she’s a big fan, but then she was allegedly “backhanded” by the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs.

The singer was reportedly hit so hard that she fell to the ground and her glasses were knocked off of her face.

Wembanyama is a 19-year-old from France who was drafted by the Spurs last month and could be seen in photos with fans from earlier that night.

After the incident Spears returned to her table and the basketball player's security later apologized to her.

“You understand how it is when you’re being swarmed by fans,” he allegedly told the pop star.

TMZ reports that Spears later filed a police report with the Metropolitan Police alleging battery.
