Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood Are Giving Us Post-Apocalyptic Feels In This Into the Forest Trailer
Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood Are Sisters in Into the Forest
We couldn't be more excited to watch this dream duo face major dystopian turmoil in July.
Into the Forest seems like a film out of our actual dreams. It stars two of our favorite LGBT actresses, Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood, as sisters fighting to survive in an eerily realistic post-apocalyptic future and, now that we've gotten our hands on a trailer, the wait to see it in theaters on July 29th will be excruciating. Seriously, this is some flawless casting and it seems like Evan and Ellen will be giving us nothing but maximum intensity as they realize the world is crashing down around them. It also adds to the excitement that out director Patricia Rozema, famous for two early lesbian-themed films, When Night Is Falling and I've Heard the Mermaids Singing, is at the helm. It's a super queer project all around! Check out the trailer here:
Chilling indeed! The official poster has also been released, and it is finding a way to tug at all of our heartstrings.
The words "post-apocalyptic world" never usually imply the characters are going to have any easy go of it, but we'll be endlessly rooting for these two to make it out okay. So, until July 29th (or July 23rd, if you have DirecTv), we'll be at the edge of our seats in anticipation and rewatching the trailer over and over. Now, let's relive our favorite moments, like Ellen Page realizing a bunch of bad stuff is about to go down:
Evan Rachel Wood potentially getting ready to ax a person to bits:
And best of all, sisterly love between two of our favorite actresses of all time:
We can't wait to go 'into the forest' with these two, even if we get emotionally crushed in the process!
