Vigils across the state of Texas were held to memorialize Britney Cosby and Crystal Jackson.

I really hope you've all watched The Fosters since my last recap because it's somehow managed to be even more amazing, and don’t you deserve to treat yourself? It certainly looks like lots of people are, with the announcement Tuesday that more episodes have been ordered. Success! Now there will be Fosters forever! But before I throw a small renewal party, here’s a recap of this week’s episode, “Vigil.”

Friends, loved ones and LGBT activists are organizing vigils for, Mollie Judith Olgin, 19, and Mary Christine Chapa, 18, the lesbian couple that was shot by a gunman in a Portland park over the weekend. Olgin died from her wounds but Chapa survived and is currently in the hospital in serious condition, NBC affiliate kristv.com reported.

A 21-year-old man was shot through the cheek and a 20-year-old man shot in the leg by an unknown assailant during a Monday evening vigil for Stephen Powell, who was shot and killed at San Francisco's "Pink Saturday" festival on Saturday.

A vigil was held in San Francisco Wednesday for the young lesbian couple shot in a Texas Park over the weekend. Mollie Judith Olgin, 19, and Mary Christine Chapa, 18, a couple of about five months, according to friends, were shot in a secluded area of a park in Portland, Texas. Mollie died from her wounds while Christine survived but is in serious condition.

Corey Jackson, a 19 year old sophomore at Oakland University, committed suicide. His family says he complained about being bullied after coming out as gay. His death is still being investigated, but the Oakland County medical examiner has confirmed that Jackson took his own life. A candlelit vigil will be held tonight in Jackson's honor on the university campus.
