Mandy Moore has opened up about being part of one fabulous family.
In a new interview with Byrdie, the singer and This Is Us (our new favorite guilty pleasure) star opens up about the sexuality of her mom and two brothers.
She candidly explained, “I’ve never really talked about this, but my parents are divorced. My mother left my father for a woman. And both of my two brothers are gay.”
Byrdie follows up the coming out revelation with this:
Today, the actress says everyone in her family is “exactly where they should be. Everyone’s so much happier, richer, and more fulfilled, being their authentic selves.”
We are so happy her family is living their lives authentically and Moore, who starred in the LGBT favorite Saved, is being the ally we all hoped her to be.
If you haven't started binging This Is Us on NBC, you better get on it. Especially after last week's heartbreaking Thanksgiving episode. It's replacing the void left behind by Parenthood, another ensemble family drama and weekly couch cryer.
The only thing we could hope for is a reoccurring queer character, something Parenthood also didn't have until the very last season. Rumor has it out actor Denis O'Hare -- formerly of American Horror Story -- stars in next week's episode.
Maybe a gay uncle? Here is hoping.
