Da Brat Is Pregnant With Her First Child

Da Brat is having a baby!

The rapper shared the unexpected news in a recent interview with People, admitting that it was something she hadn’t really planned on prior to marrying her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart.

“I never thought I was going to have kids,” she said. “I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’ve had a great career, a full life. I felt like, because I didn’t get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn’t going to happen for me.”

But a joke about “extending our family” in regards to a collaboration between the two launching a hair product line caused Da Brat and Harris-Dupart to start thinking about bringing a kid of their own into the picture.

“I started looking at life so differently. I was like, I want a little me with you. Something special from the both of us that we can share and raise and love unconditionally,” the rapper explained.
