The clips may be short, but they have us dying to see this enemies-to-lovers movie!

After months of anticipation we finally got two clips from the upcoming gay rom-com Red, White & Royal Blue—and they have us dying to see it!

Based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Casey McQuiston, the film stars Taylor Zakhar Perez as Alex Claremont-Diaz, the son of the President of the United States and Nicholas Galitzine as Britain's Prince Henry. In this enemies-to-lovers romance, the pair’s long-standing feud is upended when an altercation is splashed all over the tabloids and they are forced to spend time together for damage control.

This adorable queer romance will hit Prime Video on August 11, but to hold us over the streaming giant just release two short clips to whet our pallet.

In the first clip from the highly anticipated film, characters Alex and Prince Henry are sitting on opposite ends of a couch and are asked by a reporter to “scooch in a little closer.” They both move over and exchange a look before plastering fake smiles on their faces as Lil Naz X’s “That’s What I Want” plays.

The second clip is only 14 seconds long and shows the love birds walking away from an event as Prince Henry asks, “You hungry?” and Alex responds, “Yeah, I could eat.”

Prior to this we had only gotten adorable first-look images from the film, but now it seems clear the two actors have undeniable chemistry that we can’t wait to see on screen.

In an interview with GQ the stars opened up about what it was like to film the sex scenes for the movie, “There’s so much choreography to sexual scenes,” Perez said. “Our guards were down during the rehearsals. But as soon as someone would yell ‘cut’ one of us would say something stupid, like, ‘Get off me’.”

Galitzine added, “It’s a crazy thing to be intimate in that way with your friend and we want people to fall in love with these characters, because their love has to be real.”

And if you’re wondering how steamy the film will actually be, don’t worry because it’s rated R!

Red, White & Royal Blue premiers on Prime Video on August 11, 2023.
