Porn star Rocco Siffredi aka “Buttman” aka the “Italian Stallion” is the subject of a new series, Supersex, which has been greenlit by Netflix and has begun shooting in Rome.
Siffredi is an Italian porn actor, director, and producer who gained global fame for starring in over 1,300 films, and is most famous for his “Buttman” series and their anal sex scenes. He also starred in mainstream films including Romance (1999) and Anatomie de L’enfer (2003), both of which included unsimulated sex scenes. He was also a reality star, appearing on a season of L’Isola dei Famosi (Celebrity Island). On the show, he opened up about his sex addiction, which he described as “some kind of devil in me,” adding, “[it] sometimes sends me out of my mind.”
Supersex is a seven-episode series “freely inspired” by Siffredi’s life and career. It will tell his story from childhood through his “relationship with love” that inspired him to pursue a career in the adult film industry. Alessandro Borghi (Suburra, The Eight Mountains) has been tapped to play Siffredi. It’s to be directed by Matteo Rovere, Francesco Carrozzini, and Francesca Mazzoleni. The series was created and written by Francesca Manieri.
“Supersex is the story of a man who takes seven episodes and 350 minutes to say ‘I love you,’ to accept that the demon in his body is compatible with love. To do this, he must expose the only part of him that we have never seen: his soul,” explained Manieri.
“Supersex talks about our present, Supersex talks about us. What does it mean to be a male? Are we still able to reconcile sexuality and affectivity? These are the questions that, like a kaleidoscope, open up before us as we immerse ourselves in his incredible life until we lose our breath,” she added.
Supersex is expected to drop on Netflix globally in 2023.
