Texas gay couple Jim Cato and Joe Stapleton had their dreams of marriage crushed last July by Hood County clerk Katie Lang when she refused to issue them a marriage license, citing "religious freedom" as justification for her bigotry. The entire situation was a complete nightmare for Cato and Stapleton, but in a show of karmic justice, the couple sued Lang and ultimately won their case. Lang, or more likely Hood County (as The New Civil Rights Movement reports), was ordered to pay the plaintiffs a sum of nearly $44,000.
With that kind of money, one can only wonder what sort of things Cato and Stapleton would buy to make thier lives as married men better (thats, of course, if they didn't have to pay their attorneys). Here are a few ideas!
