5 Iconic Movies That Should Have Been Cast with Women

The new Ghostbusters movie is coming out next year in July (I know, I know), but the film gods have graced us with a new photo of the awesome all woman squad featuring Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, and Kristen Wiig.

After looking at the photo, it got us thinking, what other mostly all-male cast movie franchises could these actresses ALSO take over? 

1. Star Wars

I know technically they have Princess Leia, but how great would this movie be if it was all ladies?! In space saving the world?! Think about it. Women run the world anyway...

2. The Lost Boys

Where is our all-woman vampire coven film?!?!? Seriously, Hollywood, c'mon.

3. Stand By Me 

This movie should be remade in 2016 for all the weirdo, outsider girls. Maybe they could even have an all-queer squad?!? 

4. The Outsiders

Can you imagine how great it would be to have The Greasers and The Socs, but instead of having mostly dudes, it would be two cool girl gangs?

5. The Goonies

This movie would be sooo good if it was a squad of girls trying to escape all the bad guys, while trying to go for the treasure. GOONIES NEVER DIE.
