Today the first trailer for the Ghostbusters lady-tastic reboot was released, and to say the reactions are mixed would be an understatement.

As I write this, the trailer has nearly 10,000 more thumbs down than thumbs up on Youtube, and the comments section is a shocking mix of misogyny, disturbing levels of vitriolic hatred, and claims that Sony is taking down negative comments (they're not doing a great job, if that's the case).

But we're not here for misogyny, and the trailer may not be perfect, but it is filled with some good ol' nostalgic fun (or, you know, "is what cancer looks like," according to one commenter).

Unfortunately, a valid complaint we can't argue with is that Leslie Jones' character - a Subway station worker and the only lead who isn't a scientist or engineer - is unforgivably affected by racial stereotyping. We're disappointed by this, and hope the film has a different message to offer as we see more content soon.

Still, we trust this awesome cast of top tier comedians to turn out something stellar, and we're especially 100% psyched to see our SNL favorite Kate McKinnon bustin' ghosts on the big screen and stealing every scene she's in. Now check out the trailer that's breaking the internet today for yourself:

Are you psyched to meet the new crew this summer, or are you giving this trailer a thumbs down? Is this trailer overshadowed by misogyny or simply not that funny? Whatever your answers may be, we at least can't argue this gif is perfect.
