Indie filmmaker extraordinaire Kelly Reichardt's new movie Certain Women hit Sundance earlier this year to rave reviews, currently holds a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, and now we're getting a first glimpse at what looks like a beautiful, uniquely moving theatrical experience. Based on short stories by Maile Meloy, Certain Women stars Kristen Stewart, Michelle Williams, Laura Dern, and Lily Gladstone as small-town women dealing with separate personal struggles that are expertly interwoven. We're especially excited for the plotline in which Lily Gladstone's ranch hand forms a special bond with Kristen's frazzled young lawyer that might be a little more than platonic.
We love seeing a film with a nearly entirely female set of leads telling personal, deep stories and we trust Kelly and this stellar cast of knockout actresses to live up to the hype of this Sundance stand-out. Check out the trailer right here:
Certain Women will be released on October 14th.
