RuPaul Makes a Cameo in Inclusive Netflix Rom-Com Someone Great
Gina Rodriguez, Brittany Snow, and DeWanda Wise star!
The trailer for Netflix's newest romantic comedy Someone Great is already giving us all the feels.
The film focuses on Jenny (Gina Rodriguez), a New York music journalist whose boyfriend (LaKeith Stanfield) of nine years breaks up with her as she decides to move across the country for work.
The first trailer looks hilariously adorable as Jenny's friends (played by Brittany Snow and DeWanda Wise) try to cheer her up, but what really piques our interest is an incredibly racially and sexually diverse cast.
In the trailer, Wise's character kisses a woman and dismisses "heteronormative labels," and we even get cameos from openly gay comedian Jaboukie Young-White and the legend himself, RuPaul Charles.
"This is destiny," Ru tells Jenny in the trailer. "You are Beyoncé.”
