Disney's highly-anticipated, eponymous streaming platform—Disney Plus—isn't due for release until later this year, but it's already making news for the best reasons possible: for the first time ever, the entire Disney vault will be made available to stream in one convenient place!
According to a report by POPSUGAR, Disney's CEO Bob Iger made the exciting annoucement during an investors meeting in St. Louis while discussing the future of the Disney Plus service.
"The service, which I mentioned earlier is going to launch later in the year, is going to combine what we call library product, movies, and television, with a lot of original product as well, movies and television," Iger said. "And at some point fairly soon after launch it will house the entire Disney motion picture library, so the movies that you speak of that traditionally have been kept in a 'vault' and brought out basically every few years will be on the service. And then, of course, we're producing a number of original movies and original television shows as well that will be Disney-branded."
You know what this means right?!? We'll no longer have to run to Best Buy or wait on Netflix if we want to watch our fave Disney titles! We'll soon be able to watch Mulan kick men's asses or crash a royal birthday party with Maleficent any time we want to on our computer/TV screens!
It's safe to say we can't wait for Disney Plus to drop! Anyone up for a Princess Movie marathon??
