With the current, ongoing health crisis that is affecting so many people all over the world right now, face masks have become a major commodity for people who have to go out in public and want to protect themselves from any airborne particles that can cause sickness. The recent surge of demand for face masks has prompted many creators to share instructions for their do-it-yourself projects online so that others can create their very own face masks at home.
But what if the answer to your face mask needs didn't have to involve fabric/cutting/sewing/glue? What if you could turn something a lot of people probably already have in their underwear drawers into something useful and helpful during this global health scare?
Well, that's what actor Emerson Collins is showing us with his recent tutorial on how to turn an ordinary jockstrap into a face mask!
In a viral video posted on his Twitter account over the weekend (that has since gotten over 16K likes at the time of writing), the actor shows viewers an easy, three-step tutorial on how to transform any colorful, cute jockstrap into a face mask that will protect/cover your mouth and nose.
"The internet is out of masks, bandanas, and scarves, but it's not out of jockstraps!" Collins says in the video. "And yes, straight boys. You can make it with that sad, tired one you still have from high school football, or whatever."
"So new, used, or worn, it's your choice!" the Collins concludes, making a funny face with emphasis on 'worn.' "And remember, don't go out of the house unless you have to go out of the house."
As expected, people had all kinds of thoughts and reactions on this hilariously genius innovation:
