Several venues in Liverpool and beyond "lit up green" to pay tribute to RuPaul's Drag Race winner and overall superstar The Vivienne during the one-year anniversary of her untimely passing. The color choice was a reference to The Viv's role as the Wicked Witch of the West in the West End revival of The Wizard of Oz musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
A year ago, the RuPaul's Drag Race universe stood still upon learning the news that The Vivienne — the first crowned winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK and a fierce competitor in the all-winners season known as All Stars 7 — had suddenly passed away. A documentary feature, Dear Viv, was produced by World of Wonder and was released in August via WOW Presents Plus.

George Santos, the gay former Republican congressman from New York, announced on Sunday that he plans to travel to Caracas “in the coming days to help with aid” for Venezuelans, just days after U.S. forces captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in an unprecedented military operation.

Danny “Dusse” Siplin, a 33-year-old Black transgender man who was reported missing last Tuesday, was found dead Friday in Rochester, New York.
Police do not suspect foul play but are still investigating, according to local media. “There does not appear to be any criminal intent involved with Siplin’s death,” police said, as quoted by TV station WROC. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.

The FDA warned companies selling chest binders to register their products as medical devices. Here's how they're responding.

In an already small market, companies that sell chest binders aren't going to let threats from Donald Trump's Food and Drug Administration stop them from serving their LGBTQ+ customers. 
The FDA sent warning letters Tuesday to 11 companies — TransGuy Supply, the Fluxion, GenderBender LLC, ShapeShifter Apparel, Marli Washington Design, TomboyX, FLAVNT Streetwear, Early to Bed, TOMSCOUT, For Them, and UNTAG (formerly Trans-Missie) — threatening them with fines and seizures for not registering their binders as Class I medical devices. The companies have never been required to do so before, because binders have never been considered medical devices before.
