Kristen Stewart Is Hosting Our New Favorite 'Saturday Night Live' Episode Ever
Make a date with SNL and our fave-est of faves this Feburary 4th.
SNL is on a roll. So far, this season has included knockout political sketches, Kate McKinnon goodness, and now it's about to have the host of our dreams: Kristen Stewart. That's right, the Twilight star-turned-indie darling who's currently at Sundance premiering her short film directorial debut, Come Swim, will take Saturday Night Live by storm on February 4th, Deadline announced. She'll be joined by musical guest Alessia Cara.
The SNL announcement is fairly surprising for the actress who usually sticks to dramatic work has been known to stay out of the spotlight. However, in recent years, Kristen has been opening up more and more about her personal life, including how coming out and openly dating women has changed her life for the better.
"That’s really important to me," Kristen stated in an interview with Varietyabout appearing publically with girlfriends. "As much as I want to protect myself, it’s not about hiding. As soon as you start throwing up so many walls, you cannot see over them yourself, so you just start isolating in a way that’s not honest. I definitely found where I’m comfortable"
Kristen had a busy 2016, with Café Society, Certain Women, Personal Shopper, and Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk seeing releases, but she's also got a great year ahead with her directorial debut and a starring role in Lizzie, which tells the story of infamous axe-murder Lizzie Borden. Now, mark your calendars for February 4th, and get ready for some K-Stew badassery!
