We were so close to seeing a drag queen win the the big title on American Idol, but alas, our fave Ada Vox was eliminated last night, even though she absolutely crushed the Disney challenge.

The singing queen performed a cover of Elton John’s classic "Circle of Life" from Disney’s The Lion King.

And the judges had nothing but positive things to say!

"How special it is to have you on this show," said Lionel Richie. "You are a movement unto yourself."

“I remember your very first audition," Katy Perry recalled. "You came in, you dropped the mic then and you keep dropping the mic now. But we did talk about making sure it wasn’t a shtick, that it was really authentic, and tonight, I feel like you really embodied Ada Vox."
