Jim Parsons Says It's Weird to Be in a Gay Couple at His Age

And he has a good reason for saying so.

Out actor and The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons made a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and spoke to the talkshow legend about celebrating his one-year wedding anniversary with husband Todd Spiewak.

"It's your one-year anniversary?" Ellen asked the actor, who is starring in the upcoming film A Kid Like Jake.

"Yes, officially, for the law. It's such a weird thing being a gay couple at my age," Parsons told Ellen, commenting on how, since same-sex marriage was only just legalized in the US in 2015, he and his husband have only legally been married for one year when they've been together for much longer. "This is our 16th year together."
