Yes, 'Drag Race' Just Announced ANOTHER International Version

Looks like Manila Luzon is going to have competition.

At this rate, one out of every two countries will have a local Drag Race franchise.

Today, World of Wonder announced the next iteration of the ever-growing show with Drag Race Phillipines. For those who are keeping track, this is the tenth franchise so far. But in the Phillipines, the series is going to have some competition.

Currently, in addition to the U.S.-based original, Drag Race has iterations in the U.K., Canada, Holland, Spain, as well as Down Under (that's Australia and New Zealand.) There's also an Italian version set to launch, a Thailand version that was once in existence but paused after its second season, and a permutation in Chile called The Switch.

“The Drag Race franchise has shined a spotlight on so many incredible queens from around the world and we are so excited to introduce audiences to the dazzling queens of the Philippines,” World of Wonder co-founders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey said in a statement. “WOW Presents Plus was created to serve as a springboard for underrepresented voices, so we are thrilled to exclusively premiere Drag Race Philippines on the platform for our global viewers.”

The production of Philippines is in its early days as the producers are just putting out their calls for queens. Previously, some queens based in the Philippines competed on Drag Race Thailand

That siad, it won't be the only televised drag competition. Earlier this year Drag Race alum Manila Luzon announced Drag Den, which is set to be the first televised Filipino drag competition.

If you're looking for something to watch now, season 2 of Drag Race Holland is currently airing.
