The Las Vegas strip was host to the Route 91 Harvest country music festival this past Sunday (an event celebrating one of America's most beloved music genres), but the peace and fun of the event was abruptly ended when a gunman opened fire on the crowd from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. Witnesses and those caught in the chaos stated that the gunfire "went on and on and on" killing some 58 people, with many still in serious condition.
Many out country stars, like Steve Grand, Ty Herndon, Billy Gilman, and Chely Wright, were quick to cite their dismay and pain in response to what is now the most deadly mass shooting in modern US history.
