Time to swoon.

If you aren’t already in love with Jane The Virgin star and all around beauty queen Gina Rodriguez, prepare to swoon. In a recent Q&A with fans held over Twitter as a part of her #AskGina chat, the actress got real when asked the question more and more celebs find themselves being asked: “Are you straight?”

In a time where queer folks are craving representation more than ever, and especially in terms of queer women of color, it’s hard not to cross your fingers and hope to the queer goddesses of the world that your fave will be, in fact, queer. Especially one as #woke as Rodriguez.[iframe https://giphy.com/embed/9LouVIT5Pos48 allowfullscreen="" class=^{{"giphy-embed"}}^ frameborder="0" height="509" width="480"]

So we were more than pleased by Rodriguez’s answer.

I mean, how swoon-worthy is that? Though some may argue that it’s bisexual or pansexual erasure to have so many celebs coming out as vaguely not straight instead of claiming a label, it’s important to recognize that celebs don’t owe us their sexualities.

Of course, it’s fun to speculate about your #WCW being queer, but that doesn’t mean she sucks if she isn’t. We, of course, remain loyal fans of the oh-so-talented and stunning actress. And we’ll also keep up with future #AskGina chats to ensure we stay up to date on the inside scoop!

‘Til then, Gina, you have our hearts. And we love yours!
