Billy Eichner's Perfectly Foresaw Colton Underwood's Coming Out

"Maybe you're the first gay Bachelor and we don't even know?!" the comedian told the reality TV star back in 2019.

Comedian and actor Billy Eichner sure has an incredibly gay sixth sense!

In a resurfaced 2019 clip from the 23rd season of ABC's super-hetero reality dating series The Bachelor, the Billy on the Street star can be seen talking to the show's newly-out lead Colton Underwood about his dating life when the topic of Billy being gay comes up.

"I know that's a shock, Colton," Billy says sarcastically before then jokingly suggesting, "That, I think, you should look into."

The look on Colton's face just screams *gay panic* as Billy then says, "Maybe you're the first gay Bachelor and we don't even know?!"

We know he was only joking at the time, but as it turns out, Billy was actually foreseeing the future!

Just yesterday, the 29-year-old former football player publicly opened up about his sexuality and came out as gay in an exclusive and emotional interview with Good Morning America's Robin Roberts.

"I've ran from myself for a long time. I've hated myself for a long time," he said. "I'm gay. And I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it. And the next step in all of this was sort of letting people know."

Speculation about Underwood's sexuality has come up multiple times in the media over the years, and he has oft-denied his queerness publicly. But in his one-on-one with Roberts, who is also a fellow, out member of the LGBTQ+ community, Underwood says that, like many, the past year made year was hard for him and made him look at himself hard in the mirror and question who he really is.

"I'm still the same Colton everybody met on TV," he said. "I'm still the same Colton to my friends and my family, I just happen to be able to share with people now all of me. And I am proud of that, you know? I am proud to be gay."

Billy's obviously got one hell of a gaydar, and he even took to Twitter once the Bachelor clip started making its rounds on the internet again to congratulate Underwood on his coming out.

"I’m happy for @colton," he wrote. "If you’re gay, be gay! I’ve been gay forever & I love it!"
