An on-screen chat between Javier Bardem and Daniel Craig had the internet buzzing recently for a number of reasons, but there was one story in their conversation that was particularly easy to latch onto — the time they spent their birthday together.

The two top notch actors were chatting as part of Variety’s “Actors on Actors” series, primarily discussing Craig’s final installment in the James Bond franchise and Bardem’s controversial role in Being the Ricardos.

But they veered into the more personal as well, at one point noting that their birthdays are just one day (and one year) apart, so there was one year they celebrated them together.

“I remember you were in drag,” Craig said after Bardem brought the birthday up. “But I know that’s a whole other story.”

But Bardem was all too ready to share, elaborating that he was “coming out of a cake.”

“I was supposed to be the Bond girl that night,” he joked. “And oh my god I was.”

The anecdote came up again later in the interview when the two talked about singing, and Bardem admitted he also tried to do his best Marilyn Monroe impression when he jumped out of the cake, singing a sultry “Happy Birthday” to Craig.

The whole interview went on for 25 minutes, with the two covering topics from their respective impressive acting careers, including Bardem having to sing in Being the Ricardos, the upcoming Knives Out sequel, and even Saturday Night Live.

Unfortunately, they did not use this opportunity to provide footage of the aforementioned jumping out of a cake in drag, but if anyone wants to leak video from that party, the internet would be VERY interested!
